Barely 5 minutes drive from our cabin, Wisp resort provides all seasons, year round enjoyable time in Deep Creek Lake. From skiing and snow tubing, to mountain coasters and other aerial adventures, to golf, white water rafting and Pontoon boat tours, there is lots to be enjoyed by everyone.

Autumn festivals not to miss
Oktoberfest- October 8: Celebrate at the Wisp Resort with Live Music, Artisan Village, Contests, Beer, Food, Mountain coasters, and More!
Annual Autumn glory festival- October 12-16: nationally known, celebrating the beautiful autumn foilage display. Lots of traditional feasts, elaborate parades, live bands, and fun for everyone.
Festival of Trees, Garrett county- November 25-26: Holiday spirit celebration with decorated trees, activities for kids, artisans and everyone.

4WD/AWD or snow tires are always recommended for the area during the Winter months of November – March

Starter supplies only are provided.
Only starter toiletries and paper products are provided. If staying for a day or two, you may not need additional products.
Otherwise, you will need to bring more supply to suit your needs including paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.), bath toiletries, laundry detergent, trash bags, specialty kitchen items (crock pot, roasting pans, etc.), and towels for lake, pool, or hot tub use.

Black Bears
Our county is home to black bears. The chance that you will spot one on your trip is high.
We all share in the responsibility for Bear safety.
-Please do not feed the bears.
-Keep all your food and trash in bear proof containers.
-Keep grill and benches free of barbecue and other foods.
-If you see a bear at the cabin, allow it an escape route and give it time to go away. Most bear will go away when they see you.
-Do not approach or get too close or the bear may become aggressive.
-You can carry a Capsaicin spray as a precaution just in case a bear gets too close to you
