Located on the other side of the river, it’s possible to reach the Ramsholt arms by the river if you have kayaks / paddle board, just remember it’s a tidal river & be careful out there if you take this adventure. It’s also worth the drive!

A new trendy container village right on the seafront with weekly markets, local artisan vendors, various street food available including vegan fish & chips (& i highly recommend the Vietnamese!), amusements, bar & coffee shop. Super fun!

Micklegate RoadA new trendy container village right on the seafront with weekly markets, local artisan vendors, various street food available including vegan fish & chips (& i highly recommend the Vietnamese!), amusements, bar & coffee shop. Super fun!

Fine dining 10 minutes from the house, great spot for any special occasions during your stay with us.
Host tip: the restaurant works on a no reservation, first come first serve basis so avoid peak eating times or be prepared to chill & wait for a table over a few drinks in the bar or lounge.
They often have croquet set up on the lawn in the summer. Spa & treatments are available here too.
Harbourside Kitchen is famous for its bacon huffers & is open everyday. Based at Suffolk Yacht Harbour it has stunning views overlooking the marina & River Orwell. It sits right on a public foot path making it a great start & finishing spot for a walk along to Trimley beach especially if your into birds as you pass through a fishing lake brimming with wildlife.

You won't find fish fresher! A traditional fishmongers selling fresh wet fish and shellfish a majority of which is supplied by local fishermen from Felixstowe ferry when in season and available.
