CBVA’s sandy beach, located on the shores of the Potomac River, is the second largest in Virginia.
Join the fun in the downtown Ferry Landing District, where visitors can stroll the Boardwalk, grab a bite at a waterfront restaurant or food truck, ride the swings on the playground, shop for souvenirs, cast a fishing line from the Municipal Pier or utilize the bathhouse facilities. Beach areas further north and south of the downtown offer a quieter, more secluded experience.

The Colonial Beach municipal pier is located in Colonial Beach, Virginia on the Potomac River. Fishing and some boat docking. A wood planked pier.
Fishing licenses can be obtained at the PRFC office on Taylor Street Monday thru Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Ken's is a MRC Automated Agent, meaning they can run the automated licensing system for MRC licenses; they are the only agents that can sell restricted licenses like crab pots and fixed fishing device licenses (pound nets, fyke nets, staked gill nets, crab traps) and the new aquaculture licenses.
Not far from Ken's is *Winter Harbor* at 3706 Kings Highway which is another authorized agent, as is the *Colonial Beach Yacht Center* at 1718 Castlewood Drive, next to Dockside Restaurant

Excellent location to launch your boat. Monroe Bay is calm, and it's a 2-min ride around the point into the Potomac River, then on to the Chesapeake Bay. It's reasonably priced. Once your boat is in the water, you dock it at our home. ~15-20 mins by boat.

Colonial Beach Trolley
The Colonial Beach Trolley typically runs from late May through early September and makes about 20 stops along it's route. It's so much fun to ride! What a great way to get around town for just a little bit of money. There's plenty of space for all your gear, too. Shopping bags, kids, whatever you've got with you. Service hours are 11:00am - 7:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. For Holiday weekends (Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day) it runs on Saturday, Sunday AND Monday from 11:00am - 7:00pm
