Must have seen monument in Lucerne (free of charge). If you have some time you can also take a look at the glaciers garden right beside (entrance fee required). Distance from the apt. by bus: 15 min.

Especially in winter time the mountain Pilatus can be closed. Then you should visit the Rigi. It's not as high but still very nice. Distance from the apartment by train: 50 minutes

If you have a car we suggest making a half day trip: Lucerne, Meiringen (Aareschlucht) and up the mountains to the Susten Pass. You will see most things in half a day / one day depending on your speed

A really nice canyon where the river Aare made its way through the mountains. Distance from the apt. by bus / train: 1h 50m. Combine it with a trip through the mountains when you have rented a car.

A boat trip on the lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee) is always a good idea. Trips between 1h and 3h. We suggest a combination with Mt. Pilatus (golden tour). From the apt. 20 min. by bus to the docks.

A nice destination for a 2h cruise on lake Lucerne. You start at Lucerne main station when leaving the bus. In Weggis you get of and enjoy the town and restaurants. Then you return to Lucerne.

A friend of ours is doing paragliding and if you want to try that let us know in advance. You start in the mountains like Rigi, Pilatus and Titlis. An amazing experience! Price is about 220 CHF p.P.
