Marion has many excellent Mexican Restaurants, but our fav is Las Salsas. It's true authentic Mexican, priced right and we LOVE the salsa bar!!!

Our recommendation for best Seafood in Marion is Hook & Anchor. Lightly breaded and features the Carolina's own Calabash style fried shrimp. If they're open for their Sunday Lunch Seafood Buffet, it is the BEST!!!

What ever you call it this place is amazing! Restaurants, Shops, Skating, even a Boxing Gym!
And the really cool thing is, if you look close enough at that photo, you can see Blueberry Hill up there behind it just one block away!

In the warmer months, Lake James is an amazing place to visit. It has to be one of the most beautiful lakes anywhere. It boasts 2 state parks and whether it's camping, fishing, boating or just enjoying the views, it's a great place to visit.

If you're up for a little hike, the trek though the woods is well worth it to see the spectacular views of Linville Falls, located at the beginning of Linville Gorge.

Besides being the place every kid in North Cove gets their first job, including my hubby, Linville Caverns is an amazing underground adventure! 30 minutes north of Blueberry Hill.

I love this place! And only 30 minutes from Blueberry Hill. We try to attend at least one of their many wonderful dinner/concerts every year. In 2022 it was Fernando Ortega.

For those who love history, McDowell Co has lots of it! Just a few miles from Blueberry Hill is the Historic Carson House. Davy Crockett and Pres Andrew Jackson were regular visitors. Open for tours Spring to late Fall.

Just a short distance from Blueberry Hill is one of the most remote pristine wilderness areas on the East Coast. While some call it the Grand Canyon of the East, I think that's a stretch, but it is spectacular and a real challenge to avid hikers.
