Nine Streets District

These nine little streets cross the main canals of Amsterdam and are covered in small boutique, vintage, design and specialty shops - something for everyone. One of the most photogenic neighborhoods in the city.

Canal Cruises

The name of the Amsterdam canals. In 1612 Amsterdam began digging three main canals: the Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht. As the city continues to grow, these canals were extended and new canals were built. These lie in a circle, as a kind of belt, around the center of Amsterdam. The canals reminiscent of the successful seventeenth century, also known as the Golden Age.

Amsterdam Markets

Amsterdam offers a great variety of markets. Albert Cuyp market is a great place to try Dutch street food, like fresh stroopwafels, and buy locally produced cheese. Every Monday you can enjoy 150 different stalls at the Westerstraat market in Jordaan. But if you are into vintage findings, Waterlooplein is the place to be, as well as IJ-Hallen where they, once a month, host the biggest flea market in Europe.
