Port Welshpool's historic Long Jetty is an iconic destination in the Prom Country (South Gippsland) region. As you arrive in town, the Long Jetty is unmissable, and its extensive 800 metre stretch out to the waters of Corner Inlet provides a delightful photo opportunity.

Bowling Club RoadPort Welshpool's historic Long Jetty is an iconic destination in the Prom Country (South Gippsland) region. As you arrive in town, the Long Jetty is unmissable, and its extensive 800 metre stretch out to the waters of Corner Inlet provides a delightful photo opportunity.
Loader Walk begins at Mount Nicoll (see Mount Nicoll Lookout) and encompasses the beautiful views visible from the lookout as well as an interesting array of flora as you traverse the land between Foster and Fish Creek known locally as the Hoddle.
45 minutes return, the trail is rugged in places but enjoyable, offering rural and Prom views. Best on a clear day as cloudy conditions can substantially affect visibility.

A town known for its art and craft outlets. And its iconic Fish Creek Hotel (1939), a magnificent Art Deco building with a giant fish sculpture by Colin Sugget mounted on the roof!

A little further away (around 45 minutes driving) but well worth a visit. It has an idyllic port, a good pub, a lovely seafront restaurant, fish & chips, and a cute cafe and wine bar!

A small historic town with a population of about 500. Take time for refreshments at the cafes or hotel. On the hills behind Toora, and seen for miles around, are the turbines of the Toora Wind Farm.
