Visit the Kite republic trailer on the Esplanade for info on the best places to catch a ride.

If the wind is up on Venus Bay, take the short, but picturesque drive down to Walkerville South. The drive passes through the Bald Hills wind farm, and some beautiful farming country, before arriving at Walkerville South, a sheltered bay where historic lime kilns still stand. A walk to the limestone stacks at low tide is highly recommended

The drive passes through the Bald Hills wind farm, and some beautiful farming country, before arriving at Walkerville South, a sheltered bay where historic lime kilns still stand. A walk to the limestone stacks at low tide is highly recommended

If cycling is your thing, the loop from Tea Tree Hill, out to Fish Creek and back Through Buffalo via Tarwin Rd is a perfect 80km loop of flat country roads - EPIC! Just watch out for a head wind!

Beach 1 of Venus bay is the busiest, but also offers the only patrolled beach in the area. Great for your families. Drop by the Gelati store for an icecream on your way home to Tea Tree Hill!

Food Scene
A bit of a drive, but a lovely one over the rolling hills of Gippsland. Wild Dog produces a great range of wines. The Cab Franc is a go to wine for a cool winter night.
The restaurant is top quality.

A bit of a hike, but well worth the effort! I Grew up in Mirboo North, so this holds a special spot in my heart. Regardless, visit the most awrded brewery in the world for some truly epic beers. Ensure you ask for any special release beers, they do things with flavours nobody else would ever think of!
The Yarra Valley Gold is a staple in my fridge!

Regardless, visit the most awrded brewery in the world for some truly epic beers. Ensure you ask for any special release beers, they do things with flavours nobody else would ever think of!

If you haven't seen the Prom, ensure you allow a day to visit. Pillar point at sunset is not to be missed....

Like birds? (I don't, I'm scared of them!) IF so, the salt marsh at the end of Fishermans Rd is THE SPOT to see a huge range of coastal and migratory birds - a purpose built viewing area is located to the left of the car park. Also a perfect spot for boat launching, a spot of fishing, or to launch the kayak (available at the house!)

Penguins and coastline. The Nobbies and Phillip Islands famous penguin parade is a decent distance form the house, but guests visiting from interstate or overseas may find the trip worth it - it's one of Victoria's biggest tourist attractions after all!

A true Country pub. On the edge of the Tarwin river, the perfect spot to reward a days sight seeing, or catch up on what's biting with the fisherman returning from a day out. Don't expect luxury, just good solid country service.
