The food at Hawker Hall in Windsor is just great. It's Asian and I have not had a dish there yet that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed.
You can't book ahead - just turn up, put your name down, and enjoy a drink or two in the many nearby bars until you get the text. It is only a 5 minute walk.

The Tab Track is a walking track that encompasses the Botanic Gardens. It take around 40-45 minutes to walk or you can cut through into the Botanic Gardens anywhere you like.
Take the no. 6 tram along High St towards the city.

St Kilda beach is only 3 km away and there is much to see down there as well as the beach. Take a stroll through the main strip and check out the cake shops.
