Current Favorites

Coffee shop and barber. Really nice music, staff, and ambiance. The lavender latte and Early Grey chocolate chip cookie are a real treat. Val the barber does a great job and gives great advice about hair too.

Outdoors

If you walk behind the apartment complex in front of the house, you can get to the urban trail. It's a fast way to feel like you're away from civilization when your still in it. You can also take it as a short cut to Aspen Place. (Once you get down to the trail, turn left. After a couple of minutes, look for a trailhead on the right that will take you up the hill.) I've seen deer down there, lots of birds. If go you to the right you'll pass a wetland area, a stream, and a duck pond. (It's reclaimed water though so bear that in mind). I think you can take it all the way to Walnut Canyon but I haven't personally done it.
