BABA offers something a little bit different and I would highly recommend it. Inspired by flavours of the Levant, the dishes are designed to be shared, they are small plates that deliver big flavour! Authentic surroundings make you feel like you are in an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant. Great for lunch or dinner.

Another one possibly not suited to vegetarians! Chop House is a great option for breakfast, where they serve up an incredible full Scottish breakfast; lunch, one of the best steak sandwiches I've had; or dinner for a delicious steak with very good sides.

Hands down the best Thai restaurant I have been to in Edinburgh! The Bangkok Duck is one of my top choices off their menu. I would definitely encourage anyone to go to Dusit if you fancy Thai cuisine.

An old Victorian pump house transformed into an atmospheric restaurant and bar on a side street off the Royal Mile. Enjoy delicious food here, followed by your choice of whisky from their 400 bottle collection!

Real Mexican food and amazing frozen margaritas!! Count yourself lucky if you get to visit El Cartel as they don't take bookings and it is always busy!

Just below Kyloe, The Huxley is a stones throw from the flat. I would recommend going here for a reasonably priced, generous full Scottish breakfast.

You'll find this cool street-food style Italian just off the Royal Mile, it's one of my favourite places to go. I would recommend 'The Civerinos' pizza and their parmesan fries with truffle aioli are amazing, all washed down with a boozy slushy!

Badger & Co is another place to produce a nice breakfast menu, served 7 days a week. They also do a very good Sunday Roast! You will also find a lovely bar area in Badger & Co offering a wide variety of cocktails and beers.

Another favourite of mine! Tapas style dining, accompanied by a great selection of wine, all in a relaxed stylish setting. A great choice for a lunchtime break of sightseeing or after a full day of shopping.

Getting Around
This is the stop to get on and off the tram to either go towards The Playhouse (theatre) and Leith or the opposite direction towards Murrayfield stadium and Edinburgh Airport.

A must if you have never been to Edinburgh, it is very touristy, but there is no where like it, with the cobbled street leading up to the castle. There are many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants along the Royal Mile.
