The Algonquin is a must visit while you are in Bolton. Right on the water, it provides breathtaking views of the water and gives you a relaxed atmosphere while you dine. Open for lunch or dinner, they don't take reservations so sometimes it may be a little bit of a wait, especially for larger parties.
The corkscrew shrimp, filet mignon, salmon and Hawaiian Shrimp Bowl are some of our favorites!!

Topps grocery store is close to the cottage (within walking distance but if you need a lot of things we suggest driving as it is on the other end of the strip)
We suggest signing up for the courtesy card at the front desk as it is quite expensive and you will save quite a bit by doing so.
Also BRING YOUR OWN BAGS if you have them. NY does NOT provide bags like other states so if you go to grocery or Walmart stores, you will pay 5 cents a bag. Just a heads up.

Whether you are hiking, swimming, or going to the local parks, you will need to be prepared. A swimsuit is a must at the lake so don't forget to pack that! Other essentials we can recommend are comfortable walking shoes or water shoes, beach attire, sunglasses, sunscreen, an umbrella ( we ALWAYS get afternoon showers in the Adirondacks that will last 10-15 minutes) and bug spray
