Canal boats! Every tourist does it and yes, it is somewhat corny, but still there is no better way to see Amsterdam than from the water. Try to sit far from the speakers on board. Outside is best!

The lines are long, but its worth it as a monument to Anne Frank and the countless other victims of the Nazis. It is impressive not in spite of, but because of its small size and very human scale.
