This is our most visited winter sport resort. It’s a little pricey but well run and looked after.

Hiking
Buttermilk Falls is a favorite of ours. There’s a short, steep scramble up the hill side next to the waterfall with a nice viewing platform at the top. The pathway mostly consists of steps so it’s not challenging as long as you can handle the vertical climb. The ambitious can keep climbing and reach the Adirondack Trail.

I believe you need to plan ahead to get tickets. The couple running this have an interesting story to tell and it's great to be able to experience these wonderful animals in large enclosures.
