Hammocks on the hill
Waygate Farm has a series of unique 'hammock stations' in beautiful locations across the hillside.
Guests are able to sling a hammock over their shoulder and head up to their favourite spot to relax and maybe enjoy a picnic or a sundowner.
The hammock stations are also great for star gazing at night (no light pollution here!!)

The Fisherman's Cot pub is just a 15 minute scenic drive from Wayflowers. The pub is is a stunning location on the banks of the River Exe, next to the historic Bickleigh bridge (famed to be the inspiration for 'Bridge over Troubled water'). The food is good pub grub.

This little restaurant is only open on Friday and Saturday but it is absolutely well worth booking a table for a culinary treat.
It is a 25 minute drive but you won't regret it!

The stunning Killerton Estate is just 15 to the south of Wayflowers and is a real gem. You can visit to Georgian house and walk in its glorious gardens. The estate stretches for 2,600 hectares so bring your walking boots! There's also a lovely cafe in the old stables.

According to Devon Live Tiverton's Gold Street is the ‘trendiest in the County’! The street is almost exclusively independent traders - our favourites are the Liznojan book shop, Bee Pottery and the Flying Pickle cafe!

The beautiful Buzzards at Withleigh, near Tiverton is a well kept local secret!
It is owned by the National Trust and well maintained.
This is the perfect spot for a walk by the bubbling stream and a lazy picnic. The steep hill on the way back to the car park is also a pretty good workout!!

If you are prepared to drive a little further afield then the the surfing Mecca of North Devon is about an hour away. We would recommend Saunton Sands if you are a surfing novice. Booking ahead is essential (try Walking on waves Surf School).
