You can't come to Texas and leave without trying some good ole Texas BBQ. Pecan Lodge has the BEST smoked brisket I've had thus far since moving here. Pecan Lodge was featured on Food Network's Man Fire Food. It is located in Dallas's DEEP ELLUM district about 25 minutes from stay location.

Looking to get out and get some fresh air-- you can visit Vandergriff Park which is a 5min drive south of stay location. Park has a community pool (fee for pool--check with park customer service for times/prices), skate park, walking trails, tennis court and volleyball area.
