Ibberton is the next village from Woolland and here you’ll find the Ibberton Pub, only a mile away. The pub is open Thur to Sun and bookings are recommended. Good honest pub food and great service. Swing past some of the village houses to pick up some local eggs, honey, jams and even a cake 🍰

Nestled in the heart of Blackmore Vale lies the tiny village of Woolland with it’s hidden gem of a hill. Pick a clear day and enjoy the great views. Feel well and truly surrounded by nature as you immerse yourself in the views from the top of the hill. Pick a clear day and you won’t be disappointed by the sweeping views across the Blackmore Vale. You’ll have a real appreciation as to why the village was called Wyn-land meaning meadow land in Old English. It feels quite remote here too, so if you’re looking for some tranquility it’s the perfect place to come. Local Walks After enjoying the hill, enjoy a leisurely stroll around the little village and visit the pretty church. Or for a longer leg stretch why not try a circular walk, taking in the surrounding villages of Belchalwell and Ibberton as suggested by this featured walk in Dorset Life Magazine.

A short 30 minute drive from the Lodge is the stunning Corfe Castle - step back in time and explore this incredible relic. Take the steam train from here to Swanage, have a wonder through Swanage before heading back on the train 🚂

You will for sure need a car 🚙

We’re rural and so lots of lovely country lanes. Sat-nav is very helpful but we’re not far from many local towns and beaches.
