Great wings, burgers, chicken, salads, and more! This famous Knoxville Calhoun’s opened in June of 1988 and it is located at 400 Neyland Drive on Knoxville’s historic waterfront. Calhoun’s On The River is close to all major downtown hotels, the University of Tennessee Campus, Neyland Stadium and Thompson-Boling Arena.
Calhoun’s is accessible by boat and has its own dock for mooring your vessel. There is an outside deck as well as an enclosed deck with a panoramic view of the Tennessee River.

Want a good Pizza place? This is our personal favorite Pizza place. Barley’s offers great food, live music and a great draft beer selection. Their menu features pub favorites such as hand-battered chicken tenders, burgers, southwestern wraps and fresh salads in addition to changing daily specials and an incredible selection of customizable, unique pizzas.

The Sunsphere, located in World’s Fair Park in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, is a 266 ft (81 m) high hexagonal steel truss structure, topped with a 75 ft (23 m) gold-colored glass sphere that served as the symbol of the 1982 World's Fair. It's truly the heart of Knoxville.
You and your family can go to the observation deck (for free) to view all of downtown knoxville-- lots of history and amazing views.

If you are looking for history, look no further.
The magnificent Tennessee Theatre first opened its doors on October 1, 1928 and was hailed as “the South’s most beautiful theatre.” When the first patrons stepped inside downtown’s “movie palace” to see their favorite stars on the silver screen, they paid only 40 cents for matinees and 60 cents for evening shows (children paid only 10 and 15 cents).

Best Breweries in town!
If you're in the mood for a good craft-brew, check out some of our favorites. Schulz Brau (a German Brewery) has an outside beer garden that is pretty spectacular. I've got to say that this is my personal favorite spot, though it may not be your everyday pick.

If you're in Market Square and craving some adult beverages, stop off at Bernadette's Crystal Gardens. They charge a $5 cover charge most nights, but the views inside and on their rooftop bar is well worth it. Even if you just pay the $5 cover charge to get a great view of Market Square.

It offers some of the best opportunities for wildlife viewing in the park. Large numbers of white-tailed deer are frequently seen, and sightings of black bear, coyote, ground hog, turkey, raccoon, skunk, and other animals are also possible.

Your little ones are SURE to love this hot spot! There is an interactive playground inside, which the kids will love. Plenty of books and educational games as well. If you are looking for an indoor activity for smaller children, I would highly recommend this place.

If you want to take the family Roller-Skating near your AirBNB, this place is a lot of fun. It's been in Knoxville for over 30 years, so you'll be visiting a true Knoxville-Gem (though it does look a bit dated inside).
