Station Rai, op 4 Minuten lopen van het apartment. De trein brengt je van hier naar Schiphol in 15 minuten. De metro brengt je van hier naar het centrum van Amsterdam in 3 minuten. Vanaf het station kan je ook naar de Zaanse schans waar de windmolens zijn of naar de traditionele vissersdorpjes zoals Volendam en Monnickendam

THE NEIGHBORHOOD IN GENERAL Is famous because of the birthplace of Anne Frank, as well as her school, the real statue, the memorial stones and the actual bookshop where Anne Frank chooses with her father on June 11, 1942, the day before her thirteenth birthday a red-eyed diary (actually a poetry album) as a birthday present. From that moment on, she will, at intervals, describe her thoughts and experiences. The bookshop still excists and the owner Gert Jan was also the motor behind the preservation of the former family Frank house because he wanted to retain Anne’s legacy.

It is a nice walk because you can cross the Leidseplein and Rembrandplein and see a lot of typical Amsterdam things. The famous canal houses, nice shops, bars, restaurants, lunchrooms . If you go shopping in the Pijp you always come home with something. From big brands to new young hipdesigners. From used or vintage to hipster cool. And of course one of the biggest outdoor markets in Amsterdam The Albert Cuyp Market. The local vendors are very friendly and greet visitors with a smile. It is the best place to try local food and buy souvenirs. The Heineken brewery is just 10 min away. De Pijp district is compared to the Paris Latin Quarter. De Pijp has it all. Massimo ice cream is a must do THE MUSEUM DISTRICT 1.2 Km from the apartment 
The Museumplein is a place that attracts Amsterdam’s visitors and locals in equal measure. Where international art-lovers mingle with local children playing football on the grass. Here is the home to the three most important and revered museums in Amsterdam – the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art and the Van Gogh Museum. Also here you will find Amsterdam’s world-famous Concert Hall which can accommodate up to 2000 people and is international recognized for its outstanding acoustics. Here you can also buy tickets for the canal cruises or other tourist tickets. The nearby P.C. Hooftstraat shopping street is home to some of the world’s most chic and exclusive fashion outlets – and is one of the most expensive shopping streets in The Netherlands. Here you will find world known brands such as Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton, and where the rich and famous buy while their Ferrari, Bugatti and Bentley's are carelessly parked twice ... THE VONDELPARK 1.6 Km from the apartment The largest city park in Amsterdam, and certainly the most famous park in the Netherlands. The park welcomes over 10 million visitors every year. The Vondelpark is centrally placed south of Leidseplein and near Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum and Van Gogh Museum. The Vondelpark, an English-style park is loved by Amsterdammers as well as by tourists, and is full of people enjoying a sunny day, dog-walking, jogging, roller-skating, listening to music, people-watching, or just lazing about in grass. Other attractions are the statue of the poet Vondel, the cast iron music dome, the Groot Melkhuis a pancake restaurant with playground for children, and the historical Pavilion with its restaurant Vondelpark3, opening in summer a popular terrace.
