World Famous San Diego Zoo and Safari Park The Safari Park is less than 15 miles east of our Guest House so you can arrive early to see the animals at feeding times. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the many shows and animal encounters. The San Diego Zoo is about 35 miles in the heart of Balboa Park. Plan for a full day and lots of walking!

Just about 50 minutes from our Guest House - a wonderful place to enjoy a few hours of bay watching, shopping, and restaurants.

Take a hike! But do it in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat and the crowds. The hike up Mt. Woodson is semi-paved with a steady grade up. Hike up the - and then over to Potato Chip Rock.
