Sometimes it rains here in the Charleston area, sometimes it gets right hot too; so, it's nice to have some alternatives to do when being inside has merit! Charleston's Aquarium is a perfect alternative!

It features the Famous aircraft carrier USS Yorktown; a WWII destroyer, the USS Laffey; a remarkable mockup of a Viet Nam war encampment and display of what life was like for our military involved in the Viet Nam war at that time!

Fort Moultrie's history covers more that 220 years of seacoast defense, from the first decisive victory in the American Revolution, to protecting the coast from U-boats in World War II.
Well worth a visit if you are into real history!
