Firule is a sandy beach not so famous as Bacvice where usually locals go. Especially families with children. Thehe you can often see locals play Picigin, a common ball game. There are nice cafe's nearby with a very nice view.

You cann expect great dalmatian food served in a modern way. They have some vegan dishes and deserts as well. Wine list contains a lot of Dalmatian, affordable and high - quality wines.

The menu changes every day depending on what they find on the fish and green market. They buy only local and fresh ingredients. The prices are ok as well.

Split is surrounded with beautiful islands and from the Ferry port of Split you can visit some of them. Brac ist the nearest one and it takes 45 minutes to get there. Hvar is the sunniest island and is also reachable with ferries or catamarans from Split. Other islands you can travel to from Split are Solta, Korcula, Mljet, Lastovo, Vis...

Plitvice Lakes are amazing and worth visiting if you have enough time. It is a couple of hours drive from Split but definitely worth seeing.

If you have time and like wine, you can do wine tasting at Peskafondo wine bar. Or just enjoy a glass of wine, coctail, fresh squeezed juice or have a typical dalmatian snack. It is located on a small peninsula called Primosten and is cca. 1 hour drive from Apartment Valerius.
You will enjoy the wine, amazing view and the nice beach nearby.
The owners are a couple with 3 sweet daughters. Delphine, originally from France speaks english and french and her housband Marko is a wine lover and expert for many many years.
