City/town information

Barmouth is a beautiful seaside resort and, unlike many seaside resorts, has the mountains as a backdrop. It does not take a lot of efforts to climb to a reasonable height that offers a panoramic view of the town, the Irish Sea and the Mawddach Estuary.

Barmouth Harbour – The harbor has a small fishing industry but is mainly used by pleasure boats. On a sunny day you can sit on one of the benches, have your sandwich lunch and just enjoy the view. Late afternoon watch the fishing boats come in with their latest catch.
