Most of our food experience is as two vegans, but the list below includes both vegan-friendly and a few seafood/non-vegan-friendly spots that we know our friends love. None of the places below are fully vegan/vegetarian. People rave about the lobster roll, oysters, and more. And FWIW, they do serve a delicious vegan tofu sandwich :-)

Either way, you will need several hours for this, but it's worth it as a great way to take in the beauty of the Maine coast.

South Portland - Great little "downtown" in South Portland with coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants. Some popular ones include Taco Trio and Foulmouthed Brewery. You can walk there in 25-30 minutes via the South Portland Greenbelt Pathway.
