La Guingette: authentic French restaurant/cafe run by a lovely French couple.
The Coconut Tree: tasty and reasonably priced Sri Lankan street food.
Spicer and Cole: good for coffee or lunch, and a popular cafe to work in.
The Dough Kitchen: top choice for pizza on Gloucester Road.
Bombolini: delicious Italian restaurant and delicatessen. Only open for lunch.

A hippy pub with a large garden in the heart of St. Werburghs. This is an excellent option for a tasty and reasonably priced Sunday roast. No need to book - just arrive early as they serve until they run out. There is a pleasant walk there through Narroways Nature Reserve and the adjoining allotments.

Site of the annual International Balloon Fiesta. A beautiful estate, with deer, on the other side of Clifton Suspension Bridge. Great for a long walk, run or golf.
