Cool mining town in the Rockies only an hour or so from Denver. Unlike some mountain towns, this one has a decent downtown vibe. If you're looking for a super easy day trip from Denver, Georgetown should be high on your list.

It's reputation speaks for itself. Vail is gorgeous any time of year. Despite being only a couple hours from Denver (traffic dependent), you'll probably want to make it an overnight as there is a lot to see.

Ok, this one is a little far away from Denver, but if you haven't been to Jackson Hole, you gotta go. Jackson is a beautiful bowl in the midst of the Teton Mountains. World-class skiing, food, hiking, and animal-watching are at your finger tips. We highly recommend a "safari" to have a guide point out all the amazing wildlife in the area.
