The Shell Grotto is an ornate subterranean passageway shell grotto in Margate, Kent. Almost all the surface area of the walls and roof is covered in mosaics created entirely of seashells, totalling about 2,000 square feet of mosaic, or 4.6 million shells.

On a rainy day this is a fab place to stroll and maybe find treasures . Junk Deluxe is the home of affordable modern design, from the modernist 1930's to the exuberant 1980's.
Part of the same building you then have RG Scott An Emporium of everything Antique, Old Fashioned and Unusual. A Restorers Heaven. Stocking furniture, architectural salvage and every bygone.
Over 3 floors to explore!!!
