perfectly seared foie gras, juicy coffee-cardamom-crusted duck, and fork-tender braised osso bucco. The quiche of the day is my favorite lunch item. Even if you're just go for wine and appetizers on the front patio, this place is perfect for an intimate date or a luxurious, laid back feast.

This casual bar/restaurant with historical charm has a yummy menu and a great patio with fire pits, hammock swings, and live music on the weekends. While you’re waiting for your food, take a stroll around the bar. There’s a lot of pub-style games you can play for free. We recommend any of the burgers and the nachos.

Or you can stroll along the boardwalk. You can walk all the way around the lake via the pedestrian bridge on the west side of the lake, near Tempe Center of the Arts. Check out the damn, then in cool off at the bar inside TCA. If you're looking for a great leg workout, hike up Tempe Butte, AKA A Mountain. The trail head is just west of the Mill at the Southwest corner of Mill Ave and Rio Salado. It's a short, but steep hike to some spectacular views of ASU Stadium and the City.
