Idaho Springs was founded in 1859 by prospector's during the Pike's Peak Gold Rush. There is still significant evidence of the many hundred's of mines, some that are still operating.
Downtown's mainstreet is bustling with locals and tourists with every season and is definitely worth a stop for a few hours and a snack or a meal.

Everybody in Colorado knows about BeauJo's and would never miss the chance to meet there with friends for some of their well known and delicious pizza.

Great coffee and homemade baked goods. Nice place to read a book, answer your emails, or play a game with a friend. They roast beans on sat and wed: we love the Indonesian Sulawesi Kalossi.
