What a beautiful park lined with old oak trees leading to the fountain (which is green on St Patrick’s day). Bring a picnic and a blanket and lay out in the sun. On Saturday mornings, there is a farmers market.

It’s so nice to walk along the Savannah River. There is so much going on. Local vendors often set up shop. And you can watch the barges coming up and down the river. Just be mindful. The shopping there is more tourist centered. I love Savannah, ect. But there is a lot of history along the river and restaurants but if I’m honest, I haven’t really eaten at any of them. Also, look for the echo spot! It’s not labeled. It’s in a square with an X. Stand on it and talk. It’s worth finding.

Savannah is well known for its breweries and also being able to drink and walk on the streets. Past Jones street though.
Two Tides has great local craft beer. They definitely specialize in their IPAs and sours. Chromatose is such a good sour and my husband really likes the 6 foot IPA. Those 2 are usually always available.

This is another local brewery. Veteran owned. Great local beers. They have live music typically every Friday and Saturday.

Newer bar with fun and interesting drink menu (also own Sea Wolf). They don’t have food. This is just a bar. Just be mindful, it does get crowded on the weekends and the space is relatively small. No outside drinking here bc it’s before Jones St.

The rooftop bar looks over the Savannah River and it’s always my go to if I want to have a drink and watch the barges go by. Very beautiful spot.

The Savannah Bee Company honey is amazing. There are a lot of flavors but they do tastings so you can know exactly which honey you like. I love Savannah Bee and the Tupelo honey is my personal favorite.

Downtown Savannah Parking
Parking downtown is enforced Monday-Friday from 8AM-8PM. Parking is free on Sundays. There is an app called ParkSavannah which you can use to start a and extend your time on if you’re needing more time. If you forget, the machines and app should tell you that no payment is required. There are also multiple parking garages (not free on the weekend). These prices in parking garages can vary based on day of the week and holidays.
