Food scene

The Victoria Inn is short stroll from the cottages, has been refurbished and just opened up under new management. It is reputedly one of the oldest pubs in Cornwall. They serve many speciality gins, and The Island Gin (from the Isles of Scilly) have been recommended!

The cabin sits above Perranuthnoe beach and offers delicious food to either eat in the large garden, or takeaway. The cabin has now extended their inside eating area and it is superb. It is also hosting Pizza nights on a Friday so well worth a visit

Sightseeing

Even though I have been coming to South West Cornwall for many years, St Michael's Mount never fails to delight. At high tide, you can take a boat over to the mount and enjoy breath taking views (whilst eating one of the best pasties from Philps Pasty shop in Marazion - not to be misssed!)

Mousehole is only 8 miles from Perranuthnoe, to the west of Penzance, and is a perfect destination for browsing artisan shops and taking time for a traditional cream tea.

The Minack Theatre is on my top 5 favourite places to visit, whether you are planning to take in a show or go to the visitor centre which tells the extraordinary story of Rowena Cade who built the Minack. Next to the Theatre is Porthcurno Beach, which boasts white sand and beautiful clear blue seas, and a great place to spot seals and even basking sharks!

Favourite surfing beach

A favourite beach for any family who loves to surf! Sennen has everything from a fabulous beach cafe, shop, parking next to the beach and surf school for lessons or just board and wetsuit hire. Get there early as the car park fills up quickly and then parking is at the top of the cliff which is a steep walk back up at the end of the day!

City/town information

Penzance is vibrant with a streets full in independent retailers and places to eat. There is a busy harbour and you can catch the Scillonian from the quayside to visit the Isles of Scilly. The Buccaneer Shell Shop on the Quay is a great place to take children.
