The gently sloping beach has shallow water which is great for children. Situated approximately two miles south-southwest of Falmouth, Maenporth beach faces east across Falmouth Bay with views towards Pendennis Castle and the lighthouse on St Anthony Head.
Please note: Dogs are welcome on this beach except during July and August (10am to 6pm) when a seasonal dog ban is in place. (2020)

The large village has a friendly atmosphere, several good restaurants and a pleasant beach. The village remains unspoilt by progress. It has always been popular with artists and crafts people and there are several shops displaying and selling local work.
