The biggest food market in old town Florence, located in San Lorenzo district, an area also famous for leather shops. At the Mercato Central you can buy food at the stands on the ground floor, or stop for lunch or dinner in the food court area upstairs. I would recommend this place because there's nothing similar in town.

One of the most typical Florentine restaurant in town. At the Casalinga you can still find some of the traditional but rare tuscan recepies. Familiar mood, delicious food!

I love this place because it offers a different pizza experience with alternative fish toppings. They have their own bakery which produces also very good bread and sweet pastries already in the morning.

Having lunch here is a very nice experience. Trattoria da Rocco is located in the Sant'Ambrogio market and it's traditional and informal. Highly recommended!

What a nice story! The guys of the Archea pub made up their own brewery and the result is impressive. Their selection of beer is great.

Only classic flavours in this little shop so close to the Dome. It's a little more expensive comparing to others but the quality is unquestionable and the process of ice cream making has been handed down for generations.

Actually it is open for visits four days a week, monday, thursday, saturday and sunday from 8.15 to 13.50

A free entry church everyone should visit, especially for the breathtaking Cappella Sassetti painted by Domenico Ghirlandaio between 1482 and 1485. Scenes of San Francesco's life and the Medici family are represented in this masterpiece of the renaissance.

The Schiacciata is a typical florentine bread which is commonly use for delicious sandwiches. It's filled with tuscan ham or salami, local cheeses, vegetables and saouces, perfect with a glass of red wine. It's good, it's cheap and it's truly tuscan. Schiacciavino is one of the best place to try, also because the staff is very nice.
