"The Common Stove" (705-330-0065) is a local favorite dining spot where farm fresh fare joins culinary expertise. Known for creating some of the most inspiring dishes over a real-wood fired grill, The Common Stove certainly delivers on its promise of great food, rivalling some of the best steak restaurants in Toronto.
“We wanted the wood-fired grill to be centre-stage in the middle of the restaurant, with a counter to sit in front of the fire and watch the chefs cook. This lead to an open kitchen and the building’s 14ft ceilings encouraged a light, airy setting. Steaks were a big part of the concept from the start, but we wanted to avoid the darker wood, leather chairs and formal setting of a traditional ’steakhouse’. Being a place one could stop at for a quick burger and a beer one night, bring the whole family for brunch another day then celebrate with a big dinner at the weekend, all within the same week, was a guiding principle,” said one of its' owners
It's a great place to enjoy a special occasion meal should you chose to venture out. The vibe is cozy casual and the service is top-notch. Its owners are often found checking in with guests, making certain they are being well taken care of and are enjoying their meals. This restaurant is a personal favorite of our family 100%!

Be sure to check out their charcuterie board which offers great options and the best homemade bacon jam...perfect for a date night or a night out with family/friends.
