Food scene
My wife and I love to visit Summit county and here are a few of the restaurants/breweries we head to. One that is not on here is the Black Bear lodge at the top of Arapahoe Basin. (ski or lift pass required)
This is a great restaurant with great brews and food, my wife and I have been going here for years for lunch/dinner and also after skiing. Plan ahead as they are usually quite busy!

Hiking
Summit county has MANY hiking trails and mountains, most of them can be found on Alltrails.com. For out guidebook we'll focus on what's outside the door of the condo.
We love to hike around buffalo mountain as the terrain is beautiful and the mountain itself is challenging if you plan to summit. This network can be accessed via the trailhead or just across the street from our place. (no need to drive up to the trailhead)

Experience this 5.1-mile out-and-back trail near Silverthorne, Colorado. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 27 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are April through September. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Wildernest is a large group of condos, town homes, and houses that is up close to buffalo mountain. It's up and away from the City of Silverthorne and offers some of the best views of the area.

Charcoal grills & picnic tables are available at this lakefront park with walking trails. There is also an amphitheater with possible concerts every now and then. We take the kids here every time we visit.

Keystone is huge, there are plenty of ski runs including a 3 mile long green run and a large learning area at the top. Recommended if you've never skied before.

Copper mountain has been a favorite of ours for years. There are sections of the mountain dedicated to beginners, moderates and expert level skiers/snowboarders.
