Next to North Cheyenne Canon, the Stratton Open Space offers five distinct ecosystems, miles of trails, a rich variety of wildlife, and access to the Pike National Forest. There is a nice reservoir you can access during the summer season, South Suburban Reservoir, its water is clear and clean, but swimming is not allowed. Take Cresta Road North (this street turns into 21st St) and go left on LaVeta Way (next to Cheyenne Mountain High School) to the trailhead parking lot.
