Only 20 minutes away from our cabin on Upper Saranac Lake, the little town of Saranac Lake offers great restaurants, art galleries, coffee shops, grocery stores, a carousel for children, tennis courts and playing fields, a river walk, and much more. Take a historic walking tour of the Trudeau TB Sanitarium, visit the historic Hotel Saranac, or just stroll mainstreet and take in all the sights.
Several local hiking trails nearby: McKenzie Pond, Baker Mountain, Moose Pond, and three taller, more challenging peaks: McKenzie, Haystack and Scarface.

Don't miss the donut shop in the laundry mat at the south end of town, and 3 great easy hikes to great views: Comey Mtn, Goodman Mtn, and Arab Mtn (with a great firetower.
