A little further away is the Mineral Ridge Trail (https://www.blm.gov/visit/mineral-ridge-scenic-area-and-national-recreation-trail), a 3.3-mile trail on the east side of Coeur d’Alene Lake with great views of the lake. The trailhead is off Hwy 97 about three miles south of the Wolf Lodge exit off of I-90 going east toward Montana.

Albinhaven has a dock. It is placed in late spring when lake levels allow and removed in the fall for winter storage. You can launch a boat at local boat launch facilities including, Gould's Landing (at the end of Double Tree Lane, about a half mile back up Valhalla Road from Albinhaven) or at the public boat launch in Mica Bay.

Fishing
Coeur d'Alene Lake provides good fishing opportunities. You must procure an Idaho Fishing License from one of the local vendors, such as Black Sheep Sporting Goods in Coeur d'Alene or at the Fighting Creek Store, south on US 95 on the Coeur d'Alene Indian Reservation.

Skiing
There are several snow-skiing venues within an hour drive of Coeur d’Alene, including Schweitzer Mountain north of Sandpoint, Silver Mountain at Kellogg, Lookout Pass on the Idaho/Montana border and Mount Spokane near Spokane.
