Tybee Island is a barrier island 3 Square miles in area with a 5 mile length of public beach. The North end follows the mouth of the Savannah River, is quiet and is the perfect colonial birding watch area. It offers the Tybee Island Lighthouse, Ft. Screven, public parking, the Tybee Island Marine Museum, eateries, restrooms and multiple cross overs to the beach.
The South end offers our fishing pier, night life, T-Shirt Shops, Ice Creameries among many additional eateries and a view of Little Tybee an unpopulated natural Island you can visit by Kayak. The East side joins these 2 areas and is the Atlantic Ocean. Surfing, wake boarding and kite flying are common sights.
