Really fresh fast Japanese food, cooked by Japanese chefs, cheap...go early as gets really busy, great if you are going to the movies...eat before hand.

The best kept 1960's iconic fish and chip shop including white bread, vinyl table cloths, but oh so fresh fish.... yummy... opposite the old courthouse down from the railway station

Where else can you see an Albatross up close and personal. If it is a windy day, even better...they will be flying and if you get the chance it is unforgettable to stand in the carpark and have them fly / glide over you ....

Great walk and only 5 minutes drive from house. Wild coastline, worth a visit.

Hey everyone, my daughter gave us a family trip with Manu on the sea kayaks as a Christmas present, you get up close and personal with seals, royal albatross, shags, little blue penguins and we were lucky enough to see some very young baby seals.The paddle around the Taiaroa Head is incredible. Well worth it. Give them a ring.
We went on the morning trip which is usually calmer than the afternoon - for us the harbour was like glass. Stunning, stunning, stunning.
