Walk, bike, roller skate
Bike, walk, roller-skate, take the car. The area is flat so super easy to take your preferred mode of transportation. Plenty of parking in town and around side streets and it's all free. Take the ferry across the bay to Cooks Beach.

Families will love the playground down at the wharf. There is something for the very young and the more adventurous. Get your children's imaginations going full steam ahead aloft the pirate ship. They will be sure to have plenty of fun whilst burning up heaps of energy and when they are hot and tired, cross the road for some of New Zealand's most delicious icecream.
