While not technically an Island, this is a well worth visit. Many shops and food options along with great people watching.
Don't forget to take the seabus, its just a 10 minute ride but adds to the adventure.

It is well worth using public transit while visiting the city, they offer endless possibilites, the train can get you to most common areas but does end services at !2:00 am nightly so its important to know the bus route if planning a late night out
