A large public open square surrounded by a synthesis of Mexican history. The Temple ruins to the NE corner represent the indigenous roots of the country. Mexico City's Cathedral (in front) was built using the stones of the Temple to symbolize the religious conquest. Along the Eastern side, you can see the National Palace, home and office of the president

My personal favorite spot in the city. The 19th century castle hosted the last emperor of Mexico and his wife. Reforma Avenue was designed back then so that the emperor's wife could see him march back from the city center on a straight line back to their bedroom in the castle.

Рекомендации для путешественников

Транспорт

Uber is inexpensive and efficient; eBikes for short trips

By far the safest and best way to get around the city is by Uber. Regular taxis don't take credit card and you may be overcharged with a "tourist tax". For short trips, eBikes are common in the Roma/Condesa/Reforma/Polanco neighborhoods.

Pujol and Quintonil

Both are amazing restaurants. Book as soon as you know when you're visiting the city as they are always fully booked and take no walk-ins.

English isn't common

Mexicans are warm and welcoming people. Even if people don't speak English (most often the case), they'll be glad to help or find a way to understand.
