Versus is one of our favourite local coffee shops, its the perfect spot for a morning or afternoon coffee.

Versus is one of our favourite local coffee shops, its the perfect spot for a morning or afternoon coffee.

Great for a classic breakfast. It doesn't have a fancy aesthetic or anything, but the food is good. 1 downside is they don't give refills on coffee.

Kibo Sushi House

Our favourite Sushi spot :)
13 Minute walk. Right by the Eaton Centre.
Great shawarma plates (make sure you ask for garlic sauce if you like it, some dishes don't come with garlic sauce)

Great spot for drinks & food.
Its kinda like a fancy food courts, so its a great spot to go if the person/people you're going with all like different types of food.
Our favourite there is the Burgers & Parm Truffle Fries from "Resto Boemo".
A bit on the pricey side but it has a nice atmosphere and lots of seating. Check hours before you go, its closed on Sunday. They also only accept debit or credit, no cash.

Assembly Chef's Hall
111 Richmond St W20 Minute walk.
Great spot for drinks & food.
Its kinda like a fancy food courts, so its a great spot to go if the person/people you're going with all like different types of food.
Our favourite there is the Burgers & Parm Truffle Fries from "Resto Boemo".
A bit on the pricey side but it has a nice atmosphere and lots of seating. Check hours before you go, its closed on Sunday. They also only accept debit or credit, no cash.

A bit more expensive but the aesthetic is nice & the coffee/food is great.
There's also shopping around (Zara, H&M, CB2, etc..) all just a 10 minute walk around Early Bird.

Located just outside of Leslieville (a cool neighbourhood to eat and shop at) Great breakfast and lunch. Its a cozy, plant filled, pink spot. Its a bit pricey but the aesthetic and food is great.

Great Spot
Allan Gardens is a great little conservatory located right in the Garden District. Just an 11 minute walk from the apartment.
Its free to get in and a great spot to visit if you want to escape the cold and take a break from the city to enjoy some nature.

A great spot for higher-scale shopping. Channel store, H&M, Homesense, Sephora, ETC. Lots of shopping in that neighbourhood.

Kensington Market is a great spot if you like vintage shops and local grocery stores.
You can spend a full afternoon walking from shop-to-shop. Its definitely a bit more of a grungy spot so if you're looking for something high-scale then I wouldn't suggest Kensington.

You can spend a full afternoon walking from shop-to-shop. Its definitely a bit more of a grungy spot so if you're looking for something high-scale then I wouldn't suggest Kensington.

If you love boardgames, Snakes and Lattes is your spot.
You pay a fee to sit and play as many boardgames as you want. I haven't been in years (not a huge boardgame person) so you'll have to check their website for more details.

Though we've only been to one improv show at Second City, we really enjoyed it! The world's premier comedy club, comedy theater, and school of improvisation. Live shows almost every night.
You can purchase drinks & food at the show. We suggest purchasing tickets in advance.

Rabba Fine Foods is a great spot to go if you want to pick up your basic groceries. The produce and meat isn't the freshest, so if you're looking for fresh produce I would suggest going to a spot more local or going to Loblaws (which is a bit further away)

It is a higher price point, so if you want to do a lot of grocery shopping with a more affordable price point, we would suggest FreshCo.
They also have an LCBO and Jo Fresh located in the upper part of the store. & there's a Bulk Barn and Winners located not far from it as well.
You can park underground there and its free if you spend $40 or more.

Loblaws is a grocery store that will literally have everything you need. With a great produce, meat, cheese, and pastry section its an amazing spot to go for all of your grocery needs. It is a higher price point, so if you want to do a lot of grocery shopping with a more affordable price point, we would suggest FreshCo.
