*NWT Brewing Company is a 5 minute walk from our place-so no need for a cab after a night cap, just walk home!
*Bullocks Bistro is also a 5 minute walk from our place and you'll want to walk home after because generally people leave and have over eaten!
*Copperhouse is across town from us and would require driving or taking a cab.
*Javaroma and Birchwood are both up town. Walking 15-20 minutes.
The Woodyard is a local favourite for its fun atmosphere and great food!

Have you noticed one of the four mini lighthouses in Yellowknife?
Infact, they give a daily aurora forecast! One of them is near us, in front of the Gallery of the Midnight Sun (this store is in the guidebook) and you might enjoy checking it out and getting a picture by it!
Astronomy North has an accurate aurora forecast. They also have a lot of information; they have collected seven years of aurora viewing data, broken down monthly, year after year, on the number of nights the AuroraMax all sky camera has viewed the aurora.
