Taxis and uber are the best way to get around.
Download the uber app. Uber is significantly cheaper than a taxi. If you're old school or old fashion and prefer taxi/cabs, there is an abundance of them as well.
Once you're comfortable enough with the city, expand your transportation horizons and attempt to take the local busses. It may be the cheapest route but it can be quite the experience.

Pack light clothing for the hot months. linens/cotton etc.
Shorts and t's , summer dresses/halter tops/. Also pack some clothing for night outings. At night, people dress to impress.
