For a couscous not too far from our place, our favorite one. Kids friendly. Nice decor, excellent food.
Perfect for a tea time and some Marrocan pastries after visiting Le Jardin des Plantes or the Grande Galerie de l'Evolution.

Our discovery Fall 2019. Incredible Japonese chef proposing French cuisine revisited with Tepanyaki tradition. In a very small dining room, in a small street near Bir-Hakeim. Not too far from the Eiffel tower and Trocadero.
Booking necessary. For 2-4 people, ask to be at the Tepanyaki's table.

There are plenty of pizzeria rue des canettes. My favorite one is Positano, for its freshness, the quality of the pizza puff and its antipasti. The dining room is ok.

Kids' favorite creperie. Nice salted galettes and traditional sweet crepes. Perfect for lunch, dinner, but also gouter in the afternoon. To eat with a glass of Cidre.

Oudoor restaurant for lunch only, in the gardens of the Fashion Museum (Musee de la mode) palais Galliera. In front of the Eiffel Tower. Really nice food, exceptional place. No need to pay the museum entrance to access the restaurant. But the museum is nice as well.
Booking recommended.

Many chocolate houses in Paris... Pierre Marcolini is not my favorite, but in my top 5. The best for fruit chocolates.

My favorite chocolate maker. Jacques Genin is most of all a grand chef, who turned his creativity towards chocolate.
Everything is perfectly composed, every creation is incredibly elegant.
But also enjoy the "pâtes de fruits" , they are completely different from every other ones you could have experienced in your life. Try the vegetable ones (beetroot in particular). They are more difficult to appreciate, but let's try!
Genin's pastries are also wonderful, but have to be ordered.

Everything is perfectly composed, every creation is incredibly elegant.
But also enjoy the "pâtes de fruits" , they are completely different from every other ones you could have experienced in your life. Try the vegetable ones (beetroot in particular). They are more difficult to appreciate, but let's try!

We stop at the Coopérative laitière du Beaufortain in Bourg Saint Maurice when we go down back to Paris from Val d'Isère or Les Arcs to buy Beaufort, the finest Alpine cheese (other cheeses that you can find there are very good too, but Beaufort is definitely our favorite one). When we are nostalgic from the Alps, we come here...

I have added Rosa Bonheur but there are plenty of Guinguettes along the river where you can stop, have a dring, eat something. I haven't been yet in 2023.
It can be noisy, expensive and not good. But this is along the Seine, sunny, with a view on the most beautiful places in Paris.

Quai d'OrsayI have added Rosa Bonheur but there are plenty of Guinguettes along the river where you can stop, have a dring, eat something. I haven't been yet in 2023.
It can be noisy, expensive and not good. But this is along the Seine, sunny, with a view on the most beautiful places in Paris.
Not so famous museums
No need to describe the Louvre or Musée d'Orsay. Here are some less famous museums that desserve a visit.
I am not a fan of Maillol permanent collection, but check if there are some temporary exhibitions. They are generally very good.
Charming hotel Particulier.
Spring 2023: very nice exhibition on the photographer Elliott Erwitt.

My favorite museum... For Rodin's work. For the building. For the garden, where you can access just for a walk, a tea, and spend time there. So inspiring and harmonious! Don't miss it.
