Seasonal Guidance
Winter: Late Nov-Mar. Expect snow on the ground and freezing temperatures. It's a winter wonderland.
Spring: Late Mar-May. In early spring, expect many trails to still be snow-covered. The rivers will be on the rise, and hiking is fantastic.
Summer: Jun-Aug. Hot weather. Floating the river in tubes, taking a whitewater rafting trip, or hiking in the higher elevations are all great options. Ask local rafting companies about current river levels. Sometimes, rivers are too high to tube.
Fall: Sept-Nov. Cooling temperatures and beautiful fall colors. Prime hiking & biking.
