Probably the second busiest neighborhood on weekend nights. Lots of fun kitschy bars and some great restaurants too. One of the places I always take people from out of town.

Great neighborhood to check out during the day. Lots of good food, two of the city's best record stores (Bop Street and Sonic Boom), one of the best farmer's markets in the city (on Sundays) and it's close to Golden Gardens and the Locks.

Especially in the summer this little strip of beachfront is quite busy and full of activity. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby too! This beach was also the site of the Denny Party's first landing on Seattle shores in 1851.

These historic locks have been operating for over 100 years connecting boats between Lake Union/Lake Washington and the Puget Sound. Be sure to check out the salmon elevator while you're there.

The closest light rail station (the "Beacon Hill Station") is located at Beacon Ave S and S Lander St and will take you as far as SeaTac Airport (heading south) and the University of Washington (heading north).
