This lovely bay is one of my favourite, with free parking and public toilets.... it makes it an easy trip with young kids, one of my favorite spots for an evening cook up!

We have done the Ramsey island boat trip twice as a family and loved it, both times, we saw seal pups, dolphins and porpoise all sorts of birds and learnt a lot about the history. There are a lot of steep steps to access the boat so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Highly recommend this trip….

1 High StWe have done the Ramsey island boat trip twice as a family and loved it, both times, we saw seal pups, dolphins and porpoise all sorts of birds and learnt a lot about the history. There are a lot of steep steps to access the boat so not suitable for those with mobility issues. Highly recommend this trip….
Great place for a family day out, wellies needed, dog friendly walks, cafe, shop, play areas … easy cheap day out.

Dale is great for a visit, with dale sailing where you can hire canoes, windsurfers ect, The Griff inn Pub serves good food, Kids can crab off the pontoon and The dale peninsular walk is around 7 miles long and well worth the effort as you walk past several secluded beaches only accessible on foot.

so if you are a Harry Potter Fan this is not to be missed the place where Doby died and although the shell cottage is no longer there a memorial of socks and pebbles marks the spot in the dunes. my kids loved the adventure of finding his resting place. there are also stunning walks good surfing and in season the local food van/boat. cafe mor.
